"Nothing in science has any value to society if it is not communicated" ~ Dr. Anne Roe, Ph.D.

Biography

Alexis Carter, Ph.D.

As a scientist, I recognize the importance of communicating science with peers and the public. This realization lead me to a career in science writing. I am passionate for all things communication including writing and editing articles for publications, dissertations, web site content, press/news releases, and abstracts. I hold a doctoral degree from The University of Pittsburgh (2016). Although my expertise is in Alzheimer's disease, I currently perform writing and editing of science-related materials in the cancer proteomics field. I also have experience teaching English language learners and have demonstrated translating health related topics to lay audiences.
